Dramatic Academic Growth

Achieving measurable and rigorous academic growth that prepares students for twenty-first century careers

Introduction

If people from across the nation were to be asked about the role of a teacher in today's society, there are a variety of ideas and philosophies that would influence the different answers received. However, it is likely that every answer would include language that promotes the academic growth of a teacher's students. As a teacher, I believe it is imperative to make sure that my students are achieving academic growth. As a teacher of students from low socio-economic backgrounds and historically underserved communities, I believe it is crucial that my students achieve dramatic academic growth.

My student's dramatic academic growth has been organized into two categories: Qualitative Growth and Quantitative Growth. Through the following webpages, you can see how I analyze academic growth to ensure a rigorous classroom experience in preparation for my student's future schooling and career.

Conclusion

As students prepare to succeed in their future colleges and careers, it is important to ensure that they are experiencing dramatic academic growth. No matter where students start their year in terms of content knowledge, all students must end their academic journey in a place where they can be awarded many opportunities for success. Through the review of qualitative and quantitative data, I am able to ensure these opportunities for my students. It is my core belief that every student can achieve tremendous academic gains with the proper supports. The analysis of qualitative and quantitative data allows students to achieve this dramatic academic growth.
