Hello! My name is Tom Downey, and I'm an Elementary Instructional Coach in Washington, DC. I grew up in a small town near Albany, NY where I attended public school for grades K-12. I then went to the University of Rochester to study Electrical and Computer Engineering, and I later attended Johns Hopkins University to complete a master's degree in Education.

Throughout my college years, I managed a tutoring program for elementary school students. I also founded a training program for the tutors that worked with students in the local city school district. After college, I taught for 5 years. Now, I'm an Instructional Coach.
