About My School
Currently, I coach math teachers at DC Scholars in Southeast Washington, D.C.
DC Scholars serves a population of students that have been historically underserved. The school is 100% Black, and 73% of students are considered at risk. 20% of students receive special education services. The school operates on both an extended school day and an extended school year.
I am one of three Instructional Coaches on the math leadership team. We set pacing calendars that utilize a modified version of the Eureka Math curriculum. In addition to this, our school is continuing to work with an inclusionary model of special education. There is one special education for each grade level with students that have Individualized Education Plans (IEP's).
